Modular Residential Design
Collaboration with Nayeli Henriquez
As an undergraduate researcher under the guidance of Rensselaer professor Florencia Vetcher, this collaborative project developed a design proposal, requisite modular construction systems, and innovative climate control methods for residential projects located in Long Island, New York and in the Catskill Mountains.

The design process was preceded by research into case studies of fabrication processes and the evaluation of prefabrication construction methods and thermomass modular techniques. This was followed by an investigation into hydroponic systems and the deployment of passive heating and cooling techniques in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint of the structure. These initial research efforts resulted in the inclusion of radiant floor heating systems and the usage of SIP panels throughout the design
